We kicked off the last month of summer in the Adirondacks with this lovely full moon. This is the first of two instances in August when the lunar orb will light up the skies. Those of us fortunate enough to be in the Adirondacks should have a look at the heavens this month. August is a big month for sky watching in the Adirondacks due to the lack of light pollution and the upcoming Perseids shower mid-month.
As you can see, the first full moon was a dandy.
